What is Argentine Tango?

Argentine Tango is a social dance rooted in connection, improvisation, music, and movement. Tango is all about the walk, and if you can walk, then you can learn to tango! Whether you're completely new to tango or never have even danced, everyone is welcome to learn and dance with us.

Bryn Mawr Tango is an all-inclusive dance club that provides weekly opportunities to learn and practice Argentine Tango. We offer the option to learn how to lead and follow; no partner or experience is required to join. We are open to everyone and anyone within the Tri-Co (Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Swarthmore).

Argentine Tango is described as an improvisational social dance, built around musicality and, most importantly, connection with a partner. We will provide off-campus opportunities to social dance within Philadelphia, often collaborating with Penn Tango Club, Princeton Tango, and Yale Tango Club. There is not a requirement to perform.
